Web Design Group Meeting

Last night I attended a meeting held by The Manchester Web Design Group. Good conversation, intelligent people and a chance to get out of my home office and talk shop with other developers. It’s always refreshing (or not) to know we all face the same issues regarding Web standards. I came away from our meeting with more devotion to open source software and more annoyance with Redmond. As fate would have it, when I got home, I ended up dealing with the Blue Screen of Death on my wife’s PC. I went back to my Mac, cranked up KoRn and spent the next 30 minutes perusing troubleshooting pages at MS.

K & C Grouper
Spent a relaxing week in Florida with the family. Other than the two holes in one (it was miniture golf) and the great fishing, the best part was that I had WIFI (wow, I AM a geek ;-) ). An open Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router nearby made checking email a lot easier than dealing with dial-up or driving to an Internet cafe. Remember to secure your wireless and change the default admin password in the router.
